Spokes will be carrying out the first of its three cycle counts of the year between the 26th and 28th of February. We are looking for volunteers to record the numbers of cyclists between 07:30 – 09:30 on any one of these days. There are 17 sites covered by the count, from Hungerford in the west to Tilehurst in the east.
As an incentive for turning out in the month of February and for Spokes to show its appreciation, all those who volunteer to take part in the count will be entered for a prize draw – the winner will receive £50 of Banjo vouchers. The draw will be made during Spokes monthly meeting in April.
Cycle counting is important for Spokes, since the funding that we receive from West Berkshire Council helps to fund our activities and is the main reason that we are able to offer membership for free.
