This is a great ride for all the family, since it is mostly off-road, making use of canal towpaths, bridleways and cycleways. Some of the trails are a bit rough in places, so are probably best suited to hybrids and mountain bikes.
There is only one hill of any note, which goes from Chamberhouse Farm to Greenham Common. Also, the Common itself is quite exposed, so it can be hard work if there is a strong headwind.
Refreshments are available from the Control Tower or from one of the many pubs and cafes in the town centre.
