The Spokes AGM is held each year in June. In advance of the meeting, the Secretary contacts all members to inform them of the date, time and venue of the AGM and to invite them to attend.
The AGM receives progress reports from each of the existing committee members, including an update on membership numbers and finances. The opportunity is taken to review the group’s constitution and the various posts that make up the committee. Officers are then elected to the committee posts for the coming year.
Any Spokes member can stand for election – please contact the Secretary in advance of the AGM if you are interested in standing for any of the positions. (We can co-opt members onto the committee at any time throughout the year, so please don’t feel obliged to wait for the AGM if you would like to get involved.)
Finally, the AGM considers motions for debate, including projects that the group may wish to progress.
